Established in 1989 as a sole practice
the firm now has three partners and a total staff of 35. The firm
has Legal Aid franchises in the areas of personal injury, immigration,
family, criminal, employment, housing, welfare and debt. The practice
is organised into specialised departments providing full range of
legal services to its clients. The firm has been involved in several
high profile cases of recent times. It fought for justice on behalf
of the parents of the black teenager Stephen
Lawrence, culminating in a public inquiry set up by the Home
Secretary under the Chairmanship of Sir William Macpherson. The
firm also acted for the family of Dr Joan Francisco. This case made
English legal history as the first case of civil murder in which
there had been no previous criminal proceedings.
